“We were proud to support GNAAS in a way that not only contributed financially but also helped us build a closer connection with a charity that plays such an important role in the region.”
Our Corporate Partner Baltic Apprenticeships turned their internal events into meaningful fundraising opportunities by hiring our conference room in support of GNAAS.
Based in Darlington, the national apprenticeship training provider focuses on developing tech and digital skills, with their programmes covering IT, software development, data analysis and digital marketing.
As a business rooted in the North East, Baltic Apprenticeships is passionate about supporting local charities and giving back to the community it serves.
They chose to support GNAAS in recognition of the vital role our charity plays across the region and hosted a range of internal events at our headquarters near Eaglescliffe, including management meetings, teaching and learning conferences and graduate days.

Beth Gavin, Director of People Growth & Culture at Baltic Apprenticeships, said: “Hosting events at GNAAS’ facilities has allowed our teams to connect with the charity in a much more meaningful way, rather than it just being a name on a donation form.
“Being on-site and hearing the sirens, seeing the helicopters, and knowing the team is responding to real emergencies brings home just how important the service is.
“It gives our staff the chance to see first-hand the professionalism, skill, and dedication of everyone involved at GNAAS.”
In addition to hiring our conference room, the company kindly gave us a donation towards our advent calendar campaign in 2024, where we offered the opportunity for our supporters to win prizes in the lead up to Christmas.
In recognition of their charitable support, Baltic Apprenticeships was awarded Corporate Partner status by GNAAS.
This is given to businesses who raise a minimum of £5,000 in a year, and in return they receive several benefits including invites to charity events, use of our facilities and a visit to our base to see the helicopter up close.
Beth said: “Supporting GNAAS is a meaningful way for businesses to give back locally and demonstrate real social value – it’s support that genuinely makes a difference.
It also helps create a stronger culture within your organisation. When staff can connect to what you’re supporting, it builds pride, purpose, and a shared sense of doing something positive together.”
